Cookie policy
The cookies IdeaScore uses today, and why no consent banner is currently shown.
IdeaScore uses a small number of cookies to keep the website and application working. This policy lists them and explains why, at present, only strictly necessary cookies are used.
1. Strictly necessary cookies only, today
1.1 IdeaScore does not currently use advertising, analytics or third-party tracking cookies. The only cookies set are strictly necessary to sign in and remember basic preferences.
1.2 Under applicable guidance, strictly necessary cookies do not require a consent banner because the service cannot function without them. If that changes — for example, if we add analytics — this policy and the site will be updated with a consent mechanism before those cookies are set.
2. Cookies we set
2.1 Session cookies: keep you signed in to the application and the applicant portal, and protect against cross-site request forgery.
2.2 Preference cookies: remember interface choices such as light or dark mode and dismissed notices.
- // PLACEHOLDER: exact cookie names, e.g. ideascore_session, ideascore_theme, to be confirmed against the running application
3. Third-party cookies
3.1 We do not knowingly embed third-party advertising or social-media trackers on the website or application. Sub-processors used to run the service (see the Trust page) do not set cookies in the visitor's browser on our behalf.
4. Managing cookies
4.1 Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Because the cookies described above are strictly necessary, blocking them will prevent sign-in and some interface preferences from working.
5. Changes
5.1 We will update this policy, and add a consent mechanism where required, before introducing any cookie that is not strictly necessary.
